To provide our specialist service we rely on support of the local community - in fact more than 80 percent of our costs have to be met from voluntary sources. Donations - no matter how small - are extremely important to us. What you do today will make a huge difference to our future.
If you wish to make a donation to Cornwall Hospice Care there are many tax-effective ways of making your money go further. This means that the tax you have already paid on your donation will come to us rather than the “taxman”.

Regular Gifts Making a regular donation by standing order or direct debit is a simple and convenient way to support hospice care in Cornwall. These payment methods cut down on paperwork and therefore reduce our costs. They also enable us to properly plan for the future knowing we have a guaranteed and regular income stream. Please click here to download a standing order or a direct debit instruction to set up your regular gift today.
Gift Aid Gift Aid is worth an extra 28 pence on each £1 donated. If you are a UK taxpayer, we are able to reclaim the basic rate tax that you have already paid on your income or your pension.
And… if you are a higher rate tax payer you are entitled to claim back the difference on the tax you have already paid (40%) and the tax reclaimed by us (22%), by simply inserting details of your charitable donations on your tax return, or you may wish to pass the additional tax benefit onto the charity.
In order for Cornwall Hospice Care to claim Gift Aid, you must: • Pay enough UK income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover the amount of tax the charity will
reclaim. • Confirm this with a Gift Aid Declaration • Decide if you want to backdate past donations for up to 6 years.
Simply click here for a Gift Aid Form - completing the declaration can increase your donation by nearly 1/3 for free!
